Jane Boles

Special Projects

Jane Reynolds Boles moved to St. Augustine in 1981 from Upstate New York. After attending high school in Cooperstown, NY and LeMoyne College in Syracuse, NY, she fled the cold for the Florida beaches. In 1987, Jane became an American citizen, just after the birth of her first child . She is married to Joe Boles, and between the two of them, they have seven children: Kara, Emily, Willie, and Bridey Masson, and Hayley, Molly, and Kirby Boles. Hayley and her husband, Jesse, have just welcomed Jane and Joe’s first grandson, Benjamin Marshall Truscio.

Jane currently serves on the boards of Community Hospice and Palliative Care, Flagler Healthcare Foundation, Catholic Charities, The Sisters of St Joseph Mission Fund, and The Spanish Wine Festival.  In the past Jane has served the community through many organizations.  She was a founding member of The St Augustine Lighthouse Board of Directors, she is a Past-president, and Active Sustaining member of the Junior Service League of St Augustine.  She has held board positions with the CHILD Cancer Fund and The Friends of St Benedict the Moor. Jane was the chairman of the Mayors’ Holiday Lighting Event for 8 years that benefited the homeless members of our community and she also maintains an active involvement in her church.

Jane’s passions include travelling, reading, learning new art forms, and spending time with people she loves. Jane’s perfect day would include a cup of tea on the back porch with her family and friends around her.
